North Rift Region

Anglican Development Services North Rift (ADS NR) was established in 1983 as the development department of the Anglican Diocese of Eldoret. In 1997, it was incorporated and registered as a company Limited by guarantee. Its name changed to Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Eldoret Region Christian Community Services (CCS). In 2013, together with other Anglican Development Agencies in the country, agreed to adopt the common ADS brand. That saw the company change to its current name. Its mandate was unchanged. ADS NR serves the Anglican Dioceses of Eldoret, Kitale, Kapsabet and Lodwar Missionary area. The company has a well-established governance structure with both corporate and a Board of Management. The corporate board is served by 15 members. The board is professionally populated and regionally representative.

Administratively, ADS NR covers Six Counties. They are: Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, Turkana, Uasin Gishu and West Pokot. The area covers a total of 177,394 kmĀ² with an estimated population of about 3,955,591 people. This is according to the unpublished 2009 Kenya Population Census Report. The organization has 52 staff. The team is equitably balanced between either gender. This is a conscious organizational policy.
